  1. Visa Validity

  3. Passport

    The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:

    • Be valid for six months beyond exit date
    • Have two blank facing visa pages

  4. Photograph(s)

    Alternatively, you may provide one colour, passport-type photograph that meets the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against an all-white background and printed on high-quality photo paper; be 45mm (h) by 35mm (w); provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes. Your photo should be glued to the designated section of the visa application form (in the absence of a designated area, affix to the top right or top left corner).

  5. Business Introduction Letter

  6. Proof of Approval

    You must provide an approval letter from the Department of Immigration in Vietnam. The inviting company in Vietnam will need to apply for the approval letter on behalf of the applicant through the Department of Immigration in Vietnam. A copy is acceptable. Please ensure the " Department of Immigration Approval Document " is addressed to the Vietnamese Consulate Sydney, Australia as the place of submission.

  7. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    Details of travel arrangements. These must be provided as a copy of the flight confirmation showing exact entry and exit dates and cities for Australia and Vietnam.

  8. Visa Application Form

    The Consulate of Vietnam requires a visa application form that is completed online. To access the form, visit the following website: https://visa.mofa.gov.vn/Homepage.aspx. Upon completion, you must provide a printed copy of the online visa application form. The visa application form must:

    • Include answers for all fields
    • Display your full name as it appears in your passport
    • Be signed

    Please Note: Applicants under the age of 18 years who have signed their own passport can sign the visa application form. Applicants who are under the age of 18 years who do not have a signature in the passport, must have the visa application form signed by a parent/guardian.

    The Government of Vietnam utilises an electronic visa issuance system which is the equivalent to a visa, but no stamp or label is placed in the passport.

    • Hold proof of sufficient funds
    • Hold proof of onward/return flights
    • Hold proof of hotel reservation
    • Hold all documents required for the next destination
