Indonesia - Visa on arrival

Business visas can be obtained on arrival into Indonesia for certain nationals provided the purpose of the visit is to attend meetings or conferences only and not for the purpose of working or receiving remuneration from the company in Indonesia. It is strongly advised to hold the appropriate invitation from the Indonesian host company. This facility is not available to holders of temporary or emergency passports.

Please note: that the ‘Visa On Arrival’ facility is not available to business travellers who work for a mining, gas or oil company (or companies associated with those industries) and are travelling to Indonesia for business purposes to visit a mining, gas or oil company in Indonesia. If they do work for one of the afore mentioned companies, a visa must be obtained prior to arrival in Indonesia.

If the traveller intends to visit restricted areas such as Maluku or Papua they require special permission from Indonesian Immigration and should obtain a visa prior to arrival.

Visa on arrival allows stays up to 30 days (visa fee on arrival is USD $35.00) with the option of extending for a further 30 days if eligible (an additional extension fee of USD $35.00 will apply).

Visalink strongly advises that travellers should obtain a visa prior to arrival to avoid possible lengthy delays or denied entry.
